What’s My Skin Type?

Put your skincare confusion to rest and start getting results!

Navigating the labels and descriptions of skincare items can be quite a minefield if you’re not sure what to look for. Even just determining what your skin actually needs from your routine can be difficult and will often surprise you! This is why Peppy Co’s products are created with all skin types in mind. Each product can be adjusted to ensure you are getting results, whilst enjoying your skincare routine.

We’ve broken down the skin types below to help you analyse your skin and decide on a routine that’s right for you. It’s worth keeping in mind that your skin’s needs can change depending on variables like the time of year, your age and your diet, so ensure you're mindful of any internal or external factors that could affect your skin’s condition.

Dry Skin

Dry skin will have a tight and dehydrated quality to it - this is an easy symptom to pick as you will texturally be able to feel the dryness of your skin. A lower sebum production means that your skin is not producing enough oil to hydrate itself. You will likely not suffer any shiny spots or blackheads.

How To Care For Dry Skin

It is important to ensure adequate hydration, so ensure you’re drinking plenty of water daily and sleeping well. For deep hydration, look for ingredients like shea butter and aloe. Using our All-In-One Sleeping Maskovernight will help to lock in moisture and help you achieve the glow that you have been looking for!

To help the skin heal at a deeper level, try our LED Light Therapy Maskon the yellow light setting. The light at this setting penetrates deeper into the skin to promote circulation and rejuvenation of the skin.

Normal/Combination Skin

Perhaps the most common skin type is normal/combination. This can be identified by skin that is generally quite well hydrated, but you may experience oiliness or enlarged pores in your t-zone (forehead, nose and chin).

How To Care For Normal/Combination Skin

This can vary depending on your personal needs and variations in your skin concerns, so approach your skincare on a case by case basis. If you’re a little congested or noticing blackheads, try cleaning with our Cleansing Eggfor a more effective way of clearing out your pores. You can also try using the All-In-One Maskas a spot treatment to calm any temporary

redness or breakouts. Or for an all over glow, try a combination of the red and blue lights on our LED Mask for brightening, clearing and anti-aging effects.

Oily Skin

Those with oily skin will notice excess sebum production which can manifest in blackheads, sebaceous filaments and high-shine zones. Sometimes excess oil production can be a result of lack of hydration - don’t think that your shiny skin isn’t thirsty!

How To Care For Oily Skin

Make sure you are cleansing your skin as thoroughly as you can, this includes removing your makeup! Start with our Makeup Removal Mitt, the micro fibre construction will grab onto every particle of makeup and debris on the surface of your skin to clear the day away. Next, add cleanser to the dampened Cleansing Eggto deep clean those pores. The Egg is made of antibacterial silicone, so you needn’t worry about it retaining or spreading any breakout-causing bacteria.

Using the LED Light Therapy Maskon the blue light setting for ten to thirty minutes per day will aid in reducing excess sebum, active breakouts and killing off bacteria.

To balance out any redness, breakouts or deep seated dryness, use the All-In-One Sleeping Mask two to three times per week.
